erinychicosMission Trip to Ecuador

This year we will be offering a group of girls the opportunity to participate in a missionary experience in Ecuador, like we have done in other years. There will be two groups:

A. - For girls who have already been to Ecuador and who want to serve in a more specific way. They will stay in one of the communities that the Servant Sisters have there. To take part of this group, write Esmeralda with your preferences of place and dates, so that we can present them to the Sisters in Ecuador and figure out the details.

B. - For girls who go for the first time. During the 20-25 days of the stay in Ecuador, they would travel to the different communities where the Sisters are to see and participate in the different types of work and apostolate.

Dates: July 30th to August 27th, approximately. The dates may change due to the vacations and the price of airplane tickets.

Price: The price of the stay in Ecuador would be about $200 (250€), for the food and the travel expenses. The airplane ticket would be payed separately by each one, although we would all go in the same flight.

The Servant Sisters of the Home of the Mother have been working in Ecuador for almost 10 years to fill the material and spiritual needs of the people.

The mission trip are like nothing that you've ever experienced before.

Each year we organize mission trips for groups of young college-age women, giving them the opportunity to help with the projects that the Missionary Groups of the Home of the Mother (M.G.H.M.) do: visiting the sick, taking food to needy families, helping in the children's soup kitchens and on the Maria Elisabetta Farm, accompaning the sisters to give communion to the sick, etc.  To learn more about the projects of the M.G.H.M., visit this page.

This missionary experience also becomes an encounter with God. In the end, one realizes that one has received more than one has given, for the Lord does not let himself be outdone in generosity.
